STEPS OF CDSCO MD/IVD IMPORT LICENSE REGISTRATION

SIMPLYIFYING THE JOURNEY

Step 1- Making the applicant eligible.

• Applying: for a wholesale drug license form 20/21B or MD 42.

• Registering: on the CDSCO online portal.

• Manufacturer docs screening: Checking the 7 basic documents of the manufacturer for the application of Form MD-14 on the CDSCO portal.

Steps 3- Applying for the License

• Application Submission: Use Form MD-14 on the CDSCO portal to initiate the process.

• Document Upload: Submit the necessary documents online along with the Fee.

• Awaiting Feedback: CDSCO will review the application and raise queries about shortcomings.

Step 2- Preparing for the MD 14 application

• Device Classification: based on CDSCO risk classification, intended use, and a detailed product description.

• Document Collation: Essential documents like European CE, free sale certificate, ISO 13485, and preparing Plant Master File, and Device Master File as per CDSCO format.

Step 4 - Approval & Grant of MD 15 License.

• Final Review: After submitting the response by the applicant, CDSCO will review the justifications and documents on the raised queries.

• License Grant: Meeting all criteria and addressing all queries will result in the granting of the import license
